Wired.com's gaming blog Game|Life did a piece the other day talking about the 15 most influential games of the decade talking about games from the year 2000 to 2009. You can see the article here. And it got me thinking about just how fast time goes, after all, it was just this week that I was playing the "new Super Mario Brothers Wii" game with my family over the Christmas holiday and remembering the just how great the old games where. But when looking at this article and at the years the games came out I remembered just how old I was and what I was doing at that time and where I am today, and just how much time as passed and I was taken back, and a little caught off guard.
So I'm going to break down the list of some of the games I enjoyed on Wired's list of games.

- I was in College at St. Gregory's University when this game came out. My friend Britton and I went in on this game together as I was short on funds, and I later paid him back. We played this game all the way though, I believe he was the first to beat it. Back then I played it on very easy as I wasn't that great at the game, but I finished this game. This was my first Metal Gear game to beat as I didn't finish the first game at that time.

Silent Hill 2 - (2001)
- The first, and only Silent Hill game that I have beaten, also while in college I played this game after renting it from blockbuster and beat it. I tried playing the other Silent Hill games but just couldn't get into any of them. I also think my friend Mark helped me out on some of the Scary parts as I was known for dropping my controller from time to time and would die because of it... I am much better now. ;)

Wii Sports - (2006)
- After saying that I'd never buy another Nintendo product again (home console at least) I caved with Wii fever when the system launched and ended up waiting in line outside of the Target all night with a bunch of other great people. I ended up getting a Wii to which I had to go do a lot of things the following day and by the time I finished I was too tired to play it... Needless to say it was a good bet that I did that because it would be a whole two years before I would see another Wii on store shelves.

Halo - (2001)
- Having backed the Gamecube (ugh!) my brother Brandon backed the Xbox. Little did he know about this game and so when he got his Xbox for Christmas I followed it up with this game as a gift. He wasn't all that excited until he popped this game into the system and history was made. I only played this game a bit with him, and didn't really enjoy halo until the sequel, but did enjoy playing this game when I came home from school during the summers.
